DENVER — The sci-fi stars aligned this weekend for attendees at the Starfest convention in the Denver Tech Center.

Starfest, Denver’s ever-evolving sci-fi convention, party and fashion show, began its three-day run on Friday. Saturday was Free Comic Book Day. And Sunday marks worldwide geek holiday May 4th — as in, “May the Fourth be with you.”

Starfest, which appropriately enough began in 1977 with a preview of the forthcoming “Star Wars,” turns 37 this year. But it goes to show that choosing not to grow up can sometimes be a great move.
