DENVER — Las Vegas rockers Imagine Dragons may very well be the biggest band in America right now. But mention the band name to the average person on the street and you’re likely to get a blank look.

But play them one of the band’s recent monster hits, including “It’s Time” and “Radioactive” (the video for the latter having recently been remixed to include members of the Colorado Avalanche hockey team), and you’ll see the lights go on.

The lights were undoubtedly on at Pepsi Center on March 15. At least 15,000 people packed the place to watch singer Dan Reynolds and company close out their latest tour. Reynolds was all drum-pounding, stage-chewing energy, while the rest of the band kept up the hard-charging alt attack behind him.

Earlier, The Naked and Famous (of the hit “Young Blood”) put on a headliner-worthy set of their own. Singer-keyboardist Alisa Xayalith has only become more fascinating to watch since the band found fame, creating a stage persona that blends a vaguely geisha costume with the presence of a very modern rock frontwoman.
